About Carpet Dyeing
The carpet dye is applied in a two stage process that cleans the carpet and applies the dye. The dye penetrates carpet fibers immediately and lasts for the life of the carpet. The dye is permanent and chemically bonds to the carpet fibers. It will not rub off or walk off. The dye is permanent, colorfast and environmentally friendly.
Dyeing carpets takes place on site. You can walk on the dyed carpet within ten minutes of completion. The color change can be subtle. You can take the color of the carpet up by a just shade or two or you can change the color of the carpet. Carpet dyes are translucent and therefore, carpet dyeing is not like painting over one color with a new one. The base color of the carpet interacts with the dye to create the new color.
